About Me

Please describe your professional experience (this will be used on Therapist Finder)
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience, my work has centered on providing psychotherapeutic and public health support to Tri-morbid individuals seeking community mental health/treatment services. My career emphasis has been on unhoused transitional age youth, adults and older adults struggling with physical disabilities, mental illness, and substance use. Under the Housing First model I engaged in street outreach, following clients along their journey to get housed and STAY housed. I am familiar with the concerns and challenges medical and mental health professionals face serving the unhoused community, such as: balancing optimal client care while maintaining important boundaries to keep clients developing positive life skills and prevent staff burnout. As a former Oncology nurse, I nursed patients during the many different stages of their health journey. Some patients working toward recovery, some moving through the end-of-life transition. I am deeply sensitive and aware of the role complicated grief, loss and trauma play in our unhoused community and the impact on housing success.
