Hello, my name is Enid Velasco, LCSW. My formal education includes a undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work both degrees from California State University, San Bernardino, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I have had the privilege of following and practicing my passion of being of service and empowering Women for over 25 years. I have provided psychotherapy treatment for individuals, group and conjoint in outpatient and inpatient settings, with adults, children and adolescents in the probation and foster care programs. I have worked with individuals in in various treatment settings including in Community Mental Health settings, in a Hospital medical health care center, in the emergency room and in adult and pediatric intensive care units, and in an inpatient Forensic hospital.
My therapeutic approach is Client-Centered and Feminist Theory. I have specialized training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Snoezelen (a registered trademark) that includes specialized equipment for a Multi-Sensory Environments, used for PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Learning Disabilities, Impulsive behaviors, and addictions.
