October 20 – Gordon Wong MD, MPH -- “Cutting Edge Developments in Psychotherapy.” Dr. Wong is a psychopharmacologist is Menlo Park. He will focus on the use of genetic sequencing that provides new insights to psychiatric medication treatment.
November 1 – Evening Social for members and prospective members – 6-8PM

November 17 – Karen Hamilton LMFT – “Families, Teens, Technology and Social Media.” Karen has written a guide for parents on dealing with today’s technology.
January 19 – Rachael Manber PhD – “Dealing with Sleep Issues with CBT.” Rachael is a psychologist at Stanford who works effectively with sleep issues.
February 16 – Gary Bertuccelli LCSW and Sandy Chan LCSW – “Palliative Medicine, Hospice, and the End of Life Option Act – How Do We Care for the Seriously Ill Patient?” Gary and Sandy work in Outpatient Palliative Medicine at Stanford.
March 16 – Zonya Johnson PhD – “Multiculturalism and Clinical Practice.” Zonya Johnson is the Dean of the Sanville Institute and a clinical and health psychologist who has been in practice and teaching for over 40 years.
April 20 -- Neil Brown LCSW – “Ending the Parent-Teen Control Battle: A Novel Family Therapy Approach.” Neil has worked with families, couples and individuals for thirty years and has written a book entitled Ending the Parent-Teen Control Battle.
May 18 Dena Sorbo LCSW – “Considering Boundaries and the Frame in the Ethical Practice of Psychotherapy.” Dena has a private practice in Los Altos and treats individuals, couples and families in long and short term analytically oriented treatment.

Friday meetings are held at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, 795 El Camino Real, Palo Alto. The meeting room is on the third floor next to the café with free parking below the building. Take the main elevator. Meeting time is 12:00 – 2:00PM with the first 15 minutes reserved for signing in and networking. The presentation starts at 12:15PM following announcements. 1.5 CEUs will be offered for LCSWs, MFTs and LPCCs per meeting as required by the BBS. Members earn credits at no cost. Credits for non-members are $15 per meeting.
