The Greater Los Angeles District is very pleased to announce that Debra DeCordova has agreed to be our new District Coordinator.  She attended California State U., Long Beach for her MSW and has been licensed in California since 1998.  She currently works at Kaiser Permanente in Valencia in the Psychiatry Department, where she is the lead clinician for the Intensive Treatment Program.  Her other interests include working with transgender patients, running a couples workshop, leading a group for patients over 60, and EMDR.  She first joined the California Society for Clinical Social Work as a new MSW and had a mentor through the Society.  Debra lives in Los Angeles with her husband.

The District is in the process of forming a new steering committee and planning CEU events for the upcoming year.  Events that are planned include Rob Weiss, LCSW speaking on Technology and Intimacy in January and Stacy Korfist, MFT giving an experiential presentation on Drumming. 

Our meetings will be on Saturday mornings from 10 to 12:30. There will be time for networking and a 2 hour presentation so participants can earn 2 CEU’s.  The meetings will be held at the Betty Ford Center at 10700 Santa Monica Blvd. #310, Los Angeles, CA.  CEU’s are free for CSCSW members and available for LCSW’s, MFT’s and LPCC’s.  All disciplines are welcome!
