The planning committee of our Sacramento-Davis District is pleased to announce the opening of the 2015-2016 program year beginning with October’s presentation on Co-Occurring Disorders in Mental Health Practice.  We recognize that this is a formative time for contemporary social work as well as for our organization.  At a changing time for the mental health field, our District remains a place for face-to-face collegial connectivity, the sharing of current and accurate clinical knowledge, and ongoing discourse that directly represents our needs as clinical social workers.  

We are anticipating a dynamic year packed with presentations encompassing clinical issues relevant to both private practice and agency settings. To encourage a comprehensive representation of clinical social workers within our membership, we have developed a consultation group for ASW’s (see below for more details) and our May program will be dedicated to celebrating and learning from ASWs and recent MSW graduates.  We are also in the process of developing a 15 Unit series of presentations for LCSWs seeking certification to provide clinical supervision to ASWs and hope to announce this soon.
