ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Presenters: Paul Aikin, PHD and Nancy Aikin, PHD

Join us for this 2 CEU presentation with Paul Aikin, PHD and Nancy Aikin, PHD trainers, supervisors, and therapists working with couples all over California. This introduction will share the basics of working effectively with couples to help deescalate and reconnect with each other. Using the models of treatment created by Dr. Sue Johnson they will discuss how to increase vulnerability, intimacy, and secure attachment in clients.

This program is designed to help therapists:

Describe the way EFT teaches us how to de-escalate couples’ negative interactions.
Identify EFT moves that allow you to facilitate bonding moments within couple therapy.
Describe how to access primary/vulnerable emotion in avoidant/withdrawn individuals.

WORKSHOP LOGISTICS

Meetings begin with a half hour of mingling, networking, and community building, followed by our program.

Meeting will be held in the First Floor Conference Room.

This course meets the qualifications for 2.0 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Note: With supervisor approval, registered ASWs may use CEs toward LCSW hours.

Attendance and Registration Policies

Non-members of CSCSW will be charged: $10 admission
For CEU’s there will be an additional charge of: $10 per CEU ($15 for 1.5 CEU’s; $20 for 2 CEU’s)
CSCSW Members and students will continue to attend and receive CEUs for free

Cancellation Policy

14 days or more before event date: Full refund
13-7 days before event date: 75% refund
6 days or less before event date: No refund
