Learning Objectives:

Define regrets and describe their various forms
Understanding functions of regret from a psychodynamic point of view.
Recognize how the meaning of regrets can evolve over time.

About the Presenter:

Samoan Barish, LCSW, DSW, PhD, received her MSW from UC Berkeley, her doctorate in Social Work from USC and her PhD from The New Center for Psychoanalysis, formerly the Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute. She has been on the faculty of the Sanville Institute since its planning year and is a former Dean. She is a member and former president of the AAPCSW and is currently the co-coordinator of the local Los Angeles area chapter. She is also a board member of the International Forum for Psychoanalysis (IFPE). She has presented at many national and international conferences and has written and published on many subjects. She has a private practice in Santa Monica, CA.

CEUs: 2.0 CEU hours for LCSW’s, MFT’s, and LPC’s. Note: Registered Associate Clinical Social Workers -- as long as your supervisor approves participation, you can now use CEs toward LCSW hours

Parking: In addition to street parking, two kosher markets, Glatt Mart and Elat, have given permission to use their parking spaces, behind their stores on Saturdays. They are both located on Pico Blvd, between Wooster and Shenandoah Streets. If you park in their lots, (on the South side of Pico) cross to the North side of Pico, and walk one long block north on Shenandoah St. to 1110 S. Shenandoah.
