TOPIC:

Suicide Risk, Operation S.A.V.E. & Assessing Lethality

Workshop Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to describe risk factors and warning signs of suicide. 
  2. Participants will be able to list common reactions of one’s (clinicians) emotions when evaluating a Pt. at high risk for suicide. 
  3. Participants will be able to list protective factors that buffer individuals from suicidal thought and behavior.

This course meets the qualifications for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Members earn credits at no cost. Credits for non-members are $10.00 per unit. All are welcome to attend at no charge (no CEU certificate).

Registration and socializing begin at 9:15 a.m.

Continental breakfast with presentation from 10:00 a.m-12:00 p.m..
