Description: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidenced-based practice that has been used effectively to treat PTSD, trauma and other psychiatric disorders based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model.

We will explore what happens to the brain during a traumatic incident and how EMDR therapy promotes the resolution of traumatic memories during reprocessing using the eight-phase protocol to facilitate healing. We will also examine the latest research behind EMDR therapy.
